XML Schema?

Effective XML: 50 Specific Ways to Improve Your XML和XML in a nutshell (3rd edition)的作者在该文中宣告“RELAX赢了!”。

[XML]SGML/XML and Forest/Hedge Automata Theory

SGML/XML and Forest/Hedge Automata Theory "SGML/XML and Forest/Hedge Automata Theory." --> [February 24, 2000] This document contains a collection of references on Tree-Regular Languages, Forest-Regular Languages, DTD/Document Transformation, Forest/Tree Automata Theory, Schema Languages, and related matters. Most of the publications below are written by Murata Makoto and Paul Prescod; the corresponding bibliographic entries contain document abstracts. As of early 1999, 'forest automata' are being referred to as 'hedge automata' in the context of SGML/XML schemas. References: [April 19, 2000] K. Kawaguchi recently posted an announcement inviting participation in the new 'RELDEVE' mailing list. RELDEVE [reldeve@egroups.com] is an unmoderated mailing list for those who are intereseted in RELAX schema language. The list 'reldevj@xml.gr.jp' is also ava

[XML]Why not <script> in XSLT

http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/xsl-editors/2004JanMar/0013.html <script/> is not just inefficient, but introduces potential
'side-effects' into the xslt transformation which introduces all sorts
of fun problems for both XSLT processor implementators, as well as
creating non-portable xslt.

The idea that XSLT does not have such an element means that it is more
reliable, simple, and stable...not the opposite.

XSLT primary purpose is to transform data into another set of data, not
as a programming language...using XSLT in conjunction with other
programming languages means that marshaling data code usually moves
across to XSLT, though this doesnt mean that XSLT should become
responsible or 'host' another languages functionality.....though XSLT
2.0 is looker more like a programmatic language its main job is still to
transform data, and I think that the editors have done a good balancing

Is it possible to describe a scenario or use case that absolutely
requires <script/> ?

reviewing the xslt list archives will reveal quite a few threads along
this line.

cheers, Jim
