英语有趣的绝句 以下几个句子既不是出自名家之手，也不是出自名人之口，但它们都有自己独特的地方，请你先读读想想，然后再看看后面的“赏析”，你会觉得挺有意思的。
1. The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.【赏析】此句只有九个英语单词，但却包括了26个英语字母，且所描写的景象生动形象，通常被人们用来练习英文打字。句意为：那只敏捷的棕色狐狸跳过那只懒狗。
2. The boy there heard that Mrs Gage had measured out and packed five bushels of string beans, three of which had been then sold to a lawyer called Arthur Hunt.【赏析】这句只有30个单词的句子却包含了英语绝大部分音标，同学们不妨用它来练习一下自己的发音。句意为：那里的那个男孩听说盖奇太太量出并包装好五蒲式（计量单位，一蒲式耳约36公升）的蚕豆把其中的三份卖给了一个名叫阿瑟·享特的律师。

There’s too much space between “horse” and “and” and “and” and “cart”.【赏析】这一句共用了五个and，说话的背景可能是这样的：说话者看到一个牌子上写有horse and cart这三个词，但是horse与and之间的间距以及and与cart之间的间距太宽了。其实，此句可视为下面这两个句子的紧缩：There’s too much space between “horse” and “and”. There is also too much space between “and” and “cart”. 前面那个句子的意思是：在horse与and之间以及and与cart之间空隙太多了。
